Trails

We need your help!

Do you have a favourite walk that you can share with us? What trees, plants, or animals do you see along the way? Let us know so we can add it to our Trails Database and give other people with PMLD and their families and carers some new routes to explore!

Not sure about the trees and plants on your route?  Plant and tree identification apps let you down?! Get in touch with us anyway!  We are working with Ranger services across Scotland on this project and they know their stuff!

Please email us at (new email address for resource team?) to tell us about your trails and why you love them!

We will be back in touch with some questions about accessibility to ensure that the trails are accessible for all

Thank you!

Before You Go - Important Things To Know

Our mindfulness-based tree activities offer gentle and meaningful ways to be present in the natural world around us and connect with nature and each other.  Alongside this, we share short activities and stories inspired by plants and animals, each bringing a different way to explore and engage with the individual qualities they bring.

For all activities, invite the person to join you in noticing the world around them. Take your time and pause often for them to sense, listen, or move with support.

You will see that in the mindfulness-based activities, we greet the trees with a warm “hello” and “thank you”.  This is to honour their deep roots in our landscapes and the importance they’ve held for our ancestors across many cultures.  Expressing gratitude is a mindful way to show respect for the environment and deepen the personal connection to nature, fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation.

We encourage gentle exploring and touching of trees and plants, always with care and good judgement to keep everyone safe.
