Nature Nurtures

Nature is good for ALL of us.  It offers space to breathe, moments of calm and a chance to reconnect with the world in a way that feels grounding and restorative.  Soft sounds, shifting light, open skies and natural rhythms have a unique way of helping people slow down, feel present and find comfort.

For people with PMLD, these qualities of nature can be especially powerful.  Outdoor sensory experiences are rich, varied and meaningful - fresh air on the skin, the rustle of leaves, the warmth of sunlight, the texture of grass under hands or feet.  With the right support, these moments become opportunities for engagement, exploration and shared connection.  By offering time, patience and thoughtful guidance, we can help individuals with PMLD experience nature in ways that suit them as individuals.  In doing so, we not only open the door to sensory and emotional wellbeing for them, but we create shared experiences that remind us of the simple joy and calm that nature brings to everyone.

Our resources are designed to help you and the people you support cin a number of ways, fun...mindful...have a search, perhaps discover new ways to engage with nature and the person or people you support.
