Create Your Own Trail
Think about your favourite walks or perhaps a favourite park. What trees, plants, or animals do you see there? Using the activities in the database, why not create a special personalised trail. Even better, share it with us and tell us why you love it so we can add it to our Trails Database and give other people with PMLD and their families and carers some new routes to explore!
Make Mindful Moments
You can use these activities for mindfulness moments at home or in school, at times where things might be a little stressful, such as hospital trips or appointments
Be a Little Silly!
Some activities in the database are all about fun and silliness! Use them to bring joy and laughter into your time together, from singing and moving to exploring smells and textures. This is about creating moments of joy and connection with the people around you.


After your walk, you might like to choose a special memento - like a pine cone, flower, feather or a leaf - to remember the experience. You can link it to a story or a simple reflection at a later time.
Feel free to mix and match activities, and adapt them to what works best for the individuals you support. There’s no wrong way to use this resource - it’s all about having fun, being present, and enjoying nature together.
